Security

How Schedlar protects family data: authentication, access control, encryption in transit, and privacy-minded product design.

Security principles

Schedlar is built for households sharing sensitive schedules, locations, and routines. Our approach favors least-privilege access, clear ownership of shared resources, and secure defaults across authentication and infrastructure.

  • Least-privilege access by default for household members and shared resources
  • Modern authentication with industry-standard session handling
  • Encryption in transit for data sent between your devices and our services
  • Auditability and clear ownership of calendars, tasks, and family workspaces

Account and access

Each family member signs in with their own account. Shared calendars, tasks, and lists respect workspace membership so households control who can view or edit household information.

Infrastructure protections

Production traffic is served over HTTPS. The gateway applies security headers including HSTS, frame protections, content-type sniffing guards, and referrer policies to reduce common web risks.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell my family data?

No. Schedlar is a subscription product for families, not an advertising network. See the Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

How is my account protected?

Accounts use modern authentication flows. We follow security best practices for credential handling and session management.

Who can see our family calendar?

Only people you invite to your family workspace can access shared household information you choose to share with them.
